Alyssa woke up at about 3:30 this morning (Thursday June, 19th) and felt like she may be in labor. She woke me up at 4:50 this morning, and she was about 4 minutes apart. So after we packed (we weren't expecting him for 2 or 3 more weeks) and got ready, we were at the hospital by 6:50. They checked her not much longer after and she was about 6 cm and still breach. And by 8:15 she was in the operating room at 8 cm. Woah! (So I've only been awake about 3.5 hours. And 8:28, Ian Jay came! He was 6 pounds and 4 ounces. Alyssa had the joy of both labor (it was turbo labor), and cesarean section. She did fabulously, and we couldn't be happier! He's quite healthy, and darned cute.
